Biography

Slimane is an evolutionary biologist with interests in social interactions, learning, evolution of plasticity, changing environments, and any combination thereof. He uses mainly analytical and simulation modeling to answer various questions at the intersection of evolutionary biology and behavioral sciences. Among these questions, he tries to predict the behavior of heterogeneous learning agents in repeated games, how natural selection shapes the learning and cognitive abilities of living organisms, and how these interact with other psychological traits such as prosocial preferences. He is also interested in the evolution of phenotypic plasticity under fluctuating environments.
