Congratulations to Olympia Campbell for winning the Margo Wilson Award for best paper in the society's journal from the Human Behavior & Evolution Society.
The Margo Wilson Award is an annual award made by the editors of Evolution and Human Behavior for best paper published in the journal in the previous year.
Olympia wins this prize with her coauthors for the paper: Genetic markers of cousin marriage and honour cultures,
Olympia is a Research Fellow at the IAST since 2023. She received a PhD from University College London prior to joining. Her research focuses on elucidating the ecological and demographic correlates and causes of gender-biased outcomes, with a particular focus on the role of marriage practices, such as cousin marriage.
