"The Evolution of Storytelling"
"We humans have evolved to apprehend our world through stories. Without narrative, we would have neither understood nor regulated our lives so well. But evolution designs not for perfection, but only to satisfice, and what has been adaptive in one range of environments need not be so in others. What are the limits and liabilities of our predisposition to narrative in our technologized and globalized world?"
